Reservations
Reservations:
A reservation must be made to guarantee a space for your pet. Call us at 850.893.3047 to reserve your space. We recommend planning at least two weeks in advance and even earlier for holiday and popular vacation weeks. The weekends fill up quickly, so plan ahead!
Requirements:
To protect both your pet and the others staying with us, your pet must be fully vaccinated prior to boarding. If vaccinations are not current, we will be happy to update them while your pet is boarding with us. If vaccinations are done with another veterinarian you can either bring the written pet record with you at the time of boarding or have your veterinarian's office fax a copy to us at 850.668.1727.
Requirements
Vaccinations:
WE REQUIRE PROOF OF CURRENT VACCINES ADMINISTERED BY A VETERINARIAN. Vaccines required for dogs are Rabies, DHPP (includes Parvo), and Infectious Tracheobronchitis (Kennel Cough or Bordatella), Rabies and a Fecal test for intestinal parasites within the last 6 months. Annual vaccines required for indoor cats are Rabies and FVRCP; any cat that goes outdoors MUST be current on FVRCP, FELV and Rabies. If your dog or cat is not current on any of these vaccines, our staff will be happy to have them vaccinated by one of our Veterinarians at an additional charge. Examinations are required if any vaccines are needed. Pets must also be free of external parasites on admission.
Medications:
If your pet takes medication on a regular basis, please bring your medicine, clearly labeled with the original label and instructions. The veterinary assistants will administer medication at your request. There are daily charges for giving medications or treatments, dependent upon the number of different medicines that your pet needs.
Medical issues:
Our veterinary staff is here to address any medical needs that may arise while your pet is boarding. All pets admitted for boarding should be free of external and internal parasites. A fecal examination is required within the last 6 months. If parasites are evident, your pet will be treated and you will be charged for that service. This is critical in preventing parasite transmission between pets that are boarding. In case of emergency, we reserve the right to treat your pet at our discretion should we be unable to contact you.
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel a reservation with us, please notify us within 24 hours of your reservation (within 48 hours on holidays). You may check-in or pick-up your pet during regular business hours. Sunday drop-off or pick-up is not available.
Check-in:
To ensure peace of mind and excellent care, we ask that you complete a boarding form at time of drop-off. This form allows you to provide us with detailed instructions for care during your pet's stay. Please provide us with emergency contact information. Make sure any medications that will be given while boarding are in the original containers with a prescription label. Pets requiring medications or elderly pets needing hospice care will be charged additional fees while boarding.
Food:
We encourage you to bring your pet’s food to lessen the chance of an upset stomach. We feed Hills Science Diet in our hospital. However, we discourage bringing personal belongings, such as beds and toys, as we cannot be held responsible if these are lost. Dogs' collars, leashes and tags will be taken off and replaced with our own identification tags and leashes. We ask that you take your dog's items with you, as we can't guarantee that they won't be lost or damaged while your dog stays here.
Other services:
Other services can also be arranged while your pet is boarding, such as grooming, veterinary services or even dentistry or surgery.
Cats in the condos seem much more at ease as they spend their time perching, sleeping and watching the birds at the bird feeders and other outdoor activity while in the peace and quite of their own room.
You may bring your pet's normal diet. We feed Hills Science Diet in our hospital. However, we discourage bringing personal belongings, such as beds and toys, as we cannot be held responsible if these are lost.
