POSTED: 11:15 am EST December 25, 2005

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. -- He's missing a lot of fur, but a Siberian husky is lucky to be alive.A construction worker and police officer in Chippewa Falls rescued the dog from a railroad track minutes before a train arrived. The officer said the animal was frozen to the tracks. Officer Tim Strand said he pulled hard on the dog's tail and was able to free him, but the dog lost a lot of hair and "gave a heck of a" yelp.Just 10 minutes later, a train came down the track. The dog was taken to a county shelter, where workers named him Ice Train.
