Bradfordville
Animal Hospital is located in Tallahassee, Florida and was founded in
1982 by Dr. Lomax Teal. Originally a plantation outbuilding built in 1853,
Dr. Teal remodeled the building into the existing hospital. The
"back edition" was added several years later. Dr. Steverson
purchased Bradfordville Animal Hospital in 1991. Since then we
have grown by two exam rooms, an additional waiting room, second treatment
area, records room, employee break room/meeting room, doctors office and
a seperate boarding area for cats.
We are a full service small animal hospital offering comprehensive medical
and surgical services, as well as grooming and boarding for dogs and cats.
We also offer a wide range treatment, diagnostic, dental and preventive
care for your pets. Onsite diagnostic equipment includes: X-ray, EKG,
video otoscope, blood, fecal and urine analysis. We have four examination
rooms, an extensive pharmacy and complete laboratory and a radiology suite
with automatic film processing,

An
even larger image. Things have changed since these photos
were taken. Now there is a Walgreens on the southwest corner of
Bradfordville Road, and a Target across the street.

The building undergoes initial remodeling in 1982
The brick walkway, under construction. This was after the second
major renovation. Notice the single front door.
During the third renovation, Bradfordville Animal Hospital again
expanded, with two front doors now gracing the extended front porch.
Here you can see the back addition, now housing the kennels, treatment
and surgical area.

This is the what the side facing the employee parking lot looked
like originally, back in 1982.
The "breezeway" was incorporated as a room into the building
itself.
Additional expansion, in 1998, as the foundation for an office,
an additional exam room, and a second waiting room are laid.
The final result, with the addition of a handicap ramp- a boon for
both our clients and patients.
Now, it makes a wonderful labrotory area.
And from the outside, it now looks like this:
